Debating Between Gas as well as Electric Furnace

When it was time to substitute our oil furnace, our hubby as well as I had easily unusual opinions on what we should install… I wanted an electric oil furnace while she wanted a gas oil furnace, however we’d had an eclectic oil furnace in every lake house we’d owned as well as there were never any concerns with maintaining them, and electric oil heating systems were cheaper than gas oil heating systems as well as they were low risk, and carbon monoxide poisoning was easily real as well as it scared me to guess that it could pitfallly impact our home. I didn’t see a reason to switch over to a gas oil furnace if we didn’t have to, but my hubby on the other hand thought we could benefit from a gas oil furnace, despite the average lifespan being shorter, a gas oil furnace would run no matter what kind of weather we experienced. If there was a power outage, our lake lake house would still be heated because the oil furnace wouldn’t require electricity; This did sound ideal, but I still wasn’t a fan of introducing gas to our home. I promised our hubby that I’d do our research though, so I contacted an Heating as well as Air Conditioning professional as well as asked to speak with him about gas versus an electric oil furnace, and she told me a lot of similar information that I already knew, although she assured me that gas oil heating systems were safe if tested by an Heating as well as Air Conditioning professional respectfully. She also said that we could install carbon monoxide detectors that would alert us of any traces of the gas. The Heating as well as Air Conditioning professional didn’t sound upset, so I felt like I didn’t have any reason to worry either.
