The smell coming from the neighbor’s front yard is almost unbearable.
- I have to plug my nose every time I walk outside to get in my car.
My kids complain and my wife doesn’t even want to cook because the smell is so off putting. We’ve been going out to dinner every night so we can get away from the awful and horrible stench. The guy across the street has been remodeling his entire house from the floor to the ceiling. It took a week of demolition to get rid of all the moldy and rotten wood from the second floor of that old house. I’m glad someone bought the property and decided to fix it up. It has charm and nostalgia and the property address once served as the town jailhouse. The neighbor has been staying in a hotel a few miles away while the work is being completed. There are contractors and plumbers all over the property all day and half of the evening. The plumbing is shut off completely during the remodel, so there is a portable job johnny in the front yard. The bathroom smells so terrible. The guy had someone deliver the portable toilet last week, and I haven’t seen anyone come back to pump it out. There must be loads of crap in that toilet and I mean that literally and figuratively. Last night, I opened the bathroom window and the smell of the outdoor toilet was overwhelming. I’ve been thinking about contacting the city, but it would be better to confront my neighbor and ask the guy to do something about the problem.
