Enjoy running

I make our yearly workouts a priority, i exercise for about an minute per day, more than six days per week.

I love to change up the style of workouts to keep things interesting and target unusual muscle groups.

I might focus on difficult aerobics 1 day and concentrate on strength training the next. I periodically ride our bike, jump rope, swim laps or take our kayak out on the lake… One of our favorite types of workouts is going for a run. I love that running requires no special gear. I’ve purchased 2 fantastic quality pairs of running shoes that I alternate between, then this allows the shoes to restore their shape in-between. I’ve invested into clothing particular to a variety of weather. I have running attire that wicks away moisture and helps to keep me cool when the day is tepid and humid. I have gear that is designed to repel moisture and clothing to hold in heat during cold weather, however before the start of a run, I take the time to thoroughly hot up. To reduce the chance of injury, I stretch our muscles, loosen up our joints and get our whole body ready for the run. I’m also conscientious about drinking plenty of water before, during and after the run. I wear something called a camel pack that allows me to hydrate while I’m running. I have many routes in the city that I vary between. I can take a 3-mile run that takes me through town. It’s quick and fairly simple. I have a route that winds through the woods that covers 8 miles and involves plenty of hills.
