I love holidays away from home because I experience other living spaces and pick up ideas and, if I’m lucky, decor pieces. My HVAC installation is an electric heat pump we got from the local cooling corporation when they first brought them over, but I have seen different equipment people use to help with indoor comfort that I’d wish to have. During one of those holidays, we spent two weeks at a cabin that had a ductless mini-split unit that the owners had installed for each cabin. I loved that they let us freely control the air conditioning using the digital thermostat and insisted that we turn it off if we wouldn’t indoors. Otherwise, they didn’t bother us with energy-saving details like most facilities do. I loved that it could be used for each space and thought it ideal for our garage, which needed quality HVAC installed once we converted it to a studio. According to the cabin manager, they bought it at the HVAC online and had a local a/c worker install it. Every three months, the a/c professional also came around to do an air conditioner tune-up, where they cleaned it and changed the filters. I found their air conditioner service schedule a bit excessive, but they reminded me it was for a commercial property where many people came around, and they had to take caution and care for it. Anyway, when we got back home, I checked out the local indoor comfort business for a similar unit, and we were lucky to find one compatible with our garage space. The cooling specialist and installation costs were very affordable, and so was the maintenance.
