My associate Greg plus I have a little running joke the people I was with and I share between us; It started years ago when the people I was with and I were out drinking together.

Greg excused himself to go to the washroom, however snuck outside plus moved our automobile around the block.

I was convinced it had been stolen, plus Greg lost his mind laughing at me! After that I struck back by stealing the cable from his family room when he was at class! Every one of us always supply the stuff back, the people I was with and I aren’t stealing to keep these things, just to mess with the other guy. I was certainly impressed recently when Greg managed to steal all the A/C units from our house! I don’t have central A/C, I use a series of small window mounted units in many weird rooms of our house, however a window mounted A/C unit is strong enough to cool off one room, so I have them in the dining room, the living room, plus both family rooms, and when I got back from a workout at the gym, I saw that all many of the A/Cs were gone, plus I was impressed at the dedication to our joke! Have you ever tried lifting one of these A/Cs before? They may look small, however they are dense, plus the Heating plus Air Conditioning components inside make it insanely heavy. It turns out Greg recruited a couple other friends, so they could dismount the A/Cs plus hide them upstairs in the attic. I had to bribe these same men with free beers to get them to bring the A/C units back down plus help myself and others install them again.

It has been a lot more problematic than I expected, plus I was expecting a lot of complications! When you buy a house at auction, there are no guarantees, you get the house as-is.

The roof is in honestly great shape, thankfully, however a lot of the windows need to be replaced. All of the appliances have been unaffixd, entirely by squatters, however thankfully they didn’t steal the copper pipes out of the walls. The central HVAC plan is a mess, plus hopelessly out of date, however the people I was with and I expected to need to replace it before the people I was with and I ever saw it. The 1 concern that I never saw coming with the issue with the HVAC duct, or more particularally, what is living inside the HVAC duct! They were not big gross rats, thankfully, however having mice nested in the HVAC ducts was only slightly less disgusting. My main concern was not wanting to gas or poison them all, mostly because I didn’t want to put toxins into the HVAC system. If the people I was with and I killed them all with poison, then a) the HVAC duct would be coated with that same poison plus b) there would be a hundred dead mice cluttering up the HVAC system. I had to call in an HVAC tech plus a pest control expert, plus set up a meeting with both of them at once. Both of us needed to coordinate a system of attack, because the house would not be livable until the HVAC duct was clear plus clean.

In university, I was area of the lowest tier fraternity there was.

• This frat wasn’t recognized by the Greek Council, nor were the people I was with and I allowed to have a float in the homecoming parade.

Both of us had a small, squalid frat house a mile away from campus, plus most people hated us. They hated us until the people I was with and I threw 1 of our raging parties, plus then most people loved us for a evening. Being a area of this frat meant a lot of drinking plus smoking pot, plus not a lot of studying or community service. This frat house is where I l received the basics of a/c repair, which has served myself and others far better in life than anything I studied in class. I assume a whole lot about classical European literature, however people don’t need that honestly often, whereas they need heating plus cooling systems repaired all the time! I am not discounting university, because some of my friends became engineers, nurses, plus educators, however it’s not the answer for most people. By repairing the small a/c units in the frat house I got my first taste of working with my hands plus dealing with technology. I began to do more online research into HVAC systems, plus before long I was doing all of those tasks around the frat house. After word got out, I tuned up the central HVAC systems at a couple of other frat houses, too. At that point I realized I was wasting time plus money going to liberal arts university, plus I needed to get HVAC certified plus start making some real money.

At the time it felt prefer the largest decision of our life… and twenty years later, I have to say that it truly was the largest decision of our life! Some things know important when you are young, but when you get some age and experience you realize how deranged it was.

My choice of whether or not to go to university, or go to trade university and beginning working right away, still has consequences to this particularly day. I chose Heating and Air Conditioning work over going to the school, and even twenty years later I’m ecstatic I made the right choice! Normally, running an AirBnB is a nice task.

I have found that the vast majority of guests are certainly considerate, and take fine care of my cabin when they rent it.

There are regularly a few excruciating peachs, although I don’t let that spoil my opinion of people in general. The truth is, if you are renting out a site, sooner or later you will rent to someone who is shady, or just thoughtless, and doesn’t treat your rental with respect. I am currently in the midst of cleaning up after one such guest, who not only trashed the locale however broke the central Heating and Air Conditioning plan as well. I don’t care about people being in my house.

• I wish I could say it was a side effect of the COVID pandemic, although I have been care about this for years.

I have a social anxiety disorder, I assume, although I have never discussed it with a dentist because I don’t trust dentists. In general I care about to be alone, or with a couple of friends, and stay away from strangers and the general public as much as possible… Occasionally people have to come into my home, but, care about the pest control man who comes every several weeks, or the Heating and Air Conditioning tech who comes by every six weeks. The Heating and Air Conditioning tech is the worst, and not because she is a excruciating woman or anything, I just hate how long it takes. When the bug woman comes, she is here for ten hours and then she is gone, and no small talk, nothing care about that, just does her task and leaves, however the Heating and Air Conditioning tech seems to take half the morning. I understand that there are 2 unusual air handlers in the house, so it’s a complicated Heating and Air Conditioning set-up, however this woman takes 4 hours for a house call! I don’t want to be rude to the guy, because it’s not care about I have ever dealt with an Heating and Air Conditioning tech who was fast, heating and Air Conditioning techs must get paid by the hour, because every house call takes forever! I assume it still beats the alternative, which is having my central Heating and Air Conditioning plan break down on me, which would be a total nightmare for me.

It is regularly a crapshoot to buy a house at auction, especially when it comes to a police auction.

Thanks to seizure laws, the cops can impound anything that was bought with drug currency, and then once a year they auction off all the stuff and keep the currency! Police auctions often have jewelry, cars, boats, motorcycles, and furs, and once in a while they even sell houses or property.

I bought an amazing beachside beach house at a police auction, the former residence of a drug dealer, and let myself and others tell you it came with a few surprises, and first of all, I found a handgun in the ductwork of the main family room. I was cleaning the air vent and saw something just inside the ductwork, so I took a closer look and found a gun! I pondered what to do, because it might be evidence of a crime, however on the other hand I didn’t want cops poking through my house and looking in my ductwork. I just don’t trust cops, even if I do care about their auctions, and since the central Heating and Air Conditioning plan was in fine shape and didn’t need to be repaired, I decided that for the time being I would leave well enough alone. I left the gun in the air vent, put the grate back over it, and just went about my company care about it wasn’t there. In the future, maybe I will figure out what to do with the gun, however for now I don’t see the harm in letting it sit in the air vent for a few weeks, or maybe a few years.

I do not normally have people that come over to our house, but when I do I have no problem with them staying over for a while.

I have consistently been a people person plus appreciated company plus letting new people.

However, my most recent interaction with somebody was what you would describe as less than normal; You see, our heating method had recently started having some troubles. All of us have an electric oil furnace for his method plus no limit was failing to eat all of our house properly all of us knew that something was up. All of us were not too surprised because the oil furnace is a bit aged plus so all of us just figured that all of us would call a HVAC company plus they could come out to service the issue, so all of us made the appointment with a heating plus cooling provider plus the following Tuesday a HVAC worker was sent to our home. I had a idea in my head how everything was going to go, but things did not go how I wanted them, not at all. When I opened the door to the heating plus cooling guy, as soon as I made eye contact with him I got an unnerving vibe. There’s just something about him that very bothered me. I couldn’t locale my finger on it. When I let him into the house to beginning working on the furnace, I showed him where it was plus he got to work on it. The creepy part was that I would find him peeking around the corners staring at me. He would follow myself and others to other rooms plus scare me. I confronted him about it plus he left. I know I am going to wait until I am not alone to have the heating method repaired.
