I wish I was a bit better with controlling our emotions at times. Yet, I tend to be pretty defensive whenever I perceive disrespect towards myself and others or our family. Apparently, this goes for my family home & for our Heating & A/C unit as well. It took us a long time, however our partner Ed & I decided it was best to put the family home up for sale. The real estate market was just on fire at the time & Ed and I couldn’t pass it up; Considering that both of us had been talking about selling this home for years, this seems like just the right time. The two of us called the realtor who was proposed to us to come out & list our house. She barely even said hello before she started to rip into our stadium. Like I said, I can be a bit sensitive do any sort of attack or insult on anything I love. And I absolutely became aggravated the longer she critiqued are home. And when she got to the Heating & A/C machine I pushed back. As long as I’ve had this Heating & A/C equipment, I have invested in plenty of Heating & A/C service every single year. The residential Heating & A/C unit wasn’t even 15 years seasoned at the time. So there was plenty of life left. I felt pretty miserable at the suggestion that both of us had to replace the Heating & A/C unit. And that pretty much ended the visit. The next time she came back she was much more respectful & she brought along some data from comps in our area that proved her point. See also informed myself and Ed of a program with the local Heating & A/C supplier that would recycle our Heating & A/C equipment. It could go to people or organizations that needed better Heating & A/C machines however couldn’t afford them.
