As my mother’s child, I made sure that I take care of her plus watch over her apartment as she gets older! My dad passed away when I was younger, and so Mom is still living on her own, however she is still legitimately capable.
I do like to help wherever I can; I noticed that her furnace appeared to be operating differently sometimes.
The fan on the furnace always seemed to be blowing. I wasn’t sure what caused the problem. I checked the air filters and I realized that it had been a really long time since I had cleaned them. The filters were blocked. They needed to be changed, however when I changed the filter, the problem persisted. I knew that there must have been some damage done to the limit switch causing it to malfunction. This can happen as a result of leaving filters blocked for far too long; As much as I enjoy taking care of my mom’s cabin repairs on my own, I knew that I needed to call a heating and cooling professional. There is just no safe way to substitute a limit switch if you are not a certified Heating and Air Conditioning professional. I called up a local Heating and Air Conditioning company. I made an appointment. They sent out a Heating and Air Conditioning professional later that week. He was able to substitute the limit switch, and now, I have to do a better job of switching the filters so that there is no other damage.
