I moved out of my parents house and I lived with her for 2 years.
When we broke up, I moved in with some friends. I never really lived alone until just recently. It is a very new experience for me. I am living in an area where the temperatures are already getting cold. The leaves on the trees are starting to fall. They have already turned orange, red, yellow, and green. I have to run the furnace at night, because it’s only 30° at 2:00 in the morning. The furnace makes a strange sound and it can be a little frightening in the middle of the night when I am asleep. The sound has been getting louder and louder and I feel like the furnace is going to jump out of the wall. I contacted my landlord and I told that guy that the furnace was making a strange sound. He assured me that it was perfectly normal for that furnace to make that noise. I fully expect to wake up in the middle of the night without any heat since the landlord refuses to address the noises that I am hearing. It can’t be something regular since the sounds are getting louder and louder. I guess I just have to wait for the furnace to break down all together before the landlord will do anything about it. I pay seven hundred dollars each month for rent and I wish the guy was more proactive with repairs.
