My sister and I went to a museum last year, and one of its features was the grand home theatre that showed silent movies all afternoon.
They advertised some movies as original X-rated movies, but we found them laughable.
It was interesting to see how the movies they were showing were little more than what we rated PG-13 in today’s society. We spent an entire afternoon in the grand home theatre in the museum and loved it. We didn’t leave the museum until they announced that closing would occur in fifteen minutes. When we stood up to leave, we noticed the entire theatre was filled, and many of the people were upset over needing to leave. We clapped and shouted for more, but the museum director announced that when the movie ended, we would need to leave. When we got home, we were determined to find those movies and do a showing of them in the grand home theatre in our house. It took us weeks to find the movies online and have them delivered to the house. When we told my husband what we were planning, he simply shook his head and laughed, but he joined us when we decided on the date for the movie show. He picked out his favorite recliner and was already dozing when the movies started playing. Our grand home theatre wasn’t as luxurious as the ones in the museum, but it didn’t smell musty, and our recliners were more comfortable. Some of our friends fell asleep, but most of them laughed with us at the silent movies and enjoyed every minute of the viewing, including the original Tarzan who was wearing a body suit..
