When I first decided to become an independent heating and a/c specialist, I had no plans for the work to be so hard! The first space that makes it hard is trying to rack in customers. This task alone takes time if you even can be successful. The other thing is that because of what I just mentioned, there is the opportunity that you could not make a living and wind up broke and destitute from being an independent heating and a/c specialist if you do not believe how to sell yourself at first. Besides, there is the fact that you have to run everything yourself in terms of schedules, invoices, and accounting is the icing on the cake! I tried my hand at being an independent heating and a/c expert for about 3 weeks and since nothing was happening and I was stressing on how I was going to make money, I quit trying, closed shop and went back to work for a local heating and a/c supplier as a single 1 of their certified heating and a/c specialist team. At least this way I am paid no matter what just for showing up to work every single afternoon of the week, so I have a regular wage and do not have to worry about keeping accounting, paying taxes and all that which is part of being an independent heating and a/c specialist. It was an experience that taught me that this type of heating and cooling work is simply just not for me and I am better easily working for the Heating as well as Air Conditioning supplier.
