Right when I got out of heating and air conditioning school I went looking for a job with a heating and cooling company right away.
I was so lucky that I got hired on the first job application I had put in. It was not every day that someone could get hired right out of heating and cooling school to become a certified heating and air conditioning specialist at a local HVAC company. I happen to just be at the right place at the right time. The heating and cooling company was looking to hire new heating and air conditioning specialists and were more than happy to take heat and a/c workers that just graduated out of heating and air conditioning school. My first few weeks on the job were tough though. I was very glad that they decided to send someone with me on all of my first heating and air conditioning repair jobs to look over me to make sure that I was doing things right and they were also there to give me any help if I needed it. Not a lot of heating and cooling companies did this. But this one was very detailed about helping new heating and air conditioning specialists that were right out of heating and cooling school. Passing was easy. It was getting on the job that was hard. But that was a long time ago. It is now over 30 years later and I am doing very well in the heating and air conditioning business to this day.
