Last Saturday, I had plans with my girlfriend at 6:00 p.m.
We were supposed to go to a wine tasting and then dinner in the city.
I wasn’t particularly excited about going to the wine tasting and dinner, because we were supposed to spend the evening with my girlfriend’s sister and her boyfriend. I think her sister and her sister’s boyfriend are totally obnoxious and annoying. I don’t particularly like spending any time with them and I wasn’t excited about going out to dinner and a wine tasting with them. My girlfriend said that they were going to pay for dinner, so I couldn’t complain at all. I did end up having to work on an AC system repair on saturday. The AC system repair was my last job of the day. I probably could have finished up early, but I didn’t want to rush. There was no way that I wanted to meet them any earlier than 6:00, so I took my time with the AC system repair. I got home around 5:00 and I took a shower and got dressed. We met my girlfriend’s sister and her boyfriend precisely at 6:00. As soon as the wine tasting was over, I faked having a stomach ache so we wouldn’t have to go out to dinner. My girlfriend wasn’t very happy with me, but she couldn’t tell her sister that I was lying. She yelled at me when we got to the car, but at least I didn’t have to spend two more hours with those cranky and crabby people.
