Upgrading the HVAC adds value

It’s incredible that we managed to get 27 years out of the previous heat pump.

When you consider that it wasn’t exactly top-of-the-line heating and cooling equipment, that is even more astounding.

We were young and had just begun a family when we bought this home. The important thing was definitely leaving our apartment. We desired to raise our child in a house. But we weren’t exactly making a lot of money because we were still in the early stages of our careers. Just putting together the down payment required all of our savings. On items like the HVAC system or the kitchen appliances, the seller was unwilling to budge. Therefore, it was nice that we were able to negotiate a slight price reduction. And all we could do was pray that the HVAC system would continue to function for as long as possible. In any case, we used it for about two years. When it broke down, we had to use a less expensive HVAC unit. However, once it had been set up by the HVAC experts, we did make sure that it received seasonal HVAC maintenance every year. The HVAC maintenance, I have to say, did a great job. That heat pump was supposed to last us perhaps 17 to 20 years. Furthermore, it lasted 27 years before we had to replace it with the newest residential HVAC technology. But in a way, timing-wise, that has also worked out perfectly. Our youngest is independent after graduating from college. The prospect of selling the family home exists, and all of our children are doing well. Our home’s value increased significantly after we installed the best HVAC equipment and the most recent residential HVAC technology.
