At least my radiant heater is still working after all of these years, and maybe my knees will do the same if I stop beating them up with all of the sports that I’ve been playing.
The seasons keep rolling by unnoticed and I am finding myself getting slower as time goes on. I used to have so much energy when I was in my 20s and 30s, but it seems like it is slowly fading with each passing year no matter how much I try to preserve it. I guess I just need to accept the fact that I am getting old and try to enjoy the process that father time is dishing out to my body. I’ve had to stop playing the sport I’ve loved for 30 years because my knees are finished. Space heater boxing is the agenda for today, reminding me that another season of my life has passed me by. I feel like I am doing a lot with my music career though, so that is one thing that is positive about all of these chunks of time that keep disappearing on me. At least my radiant heater is still working after all of these years, and maybe my knees will do the same if I stop beating them up with all of the sports that I’ve been playing. I just need my elbows and shoulders to hang in there for me so that I can keep drumming in the band for another 20 or so years. The local business near me sells this cold cream that really helps with sore joints, which is good because I need them to do my HVAC tech work each day for the company. I think if I play music three times a week I should be fine with the body.
