My stepfather was always saying that when I turned eighteen I had to get a good task then transfer out of his house.

She said I needed a task, plus to find anywhere else to live. She raised me to be a man plus it was now my responsibility to take care of myself. My stepdad looked devastated that she was kicking me out, but I understood. I had been warned from the time I first became a teen, so I had a plan. I had talked to my guidance counselor told him I needed a task when I was in 4th grade. She set me up with a summer time task with the Heating plus A/C business the last summer time before my senior year. The summer time task went on to working a part-time task during school. I enjoyed working at the Heating plus A/C corporation, plus I learned so much about Heating plus A/C systems. When graduation rolled around, I had more than my folks in the audience. Half the Heating plus A/C worker was there, plus the owner of the Heating plus A/C business was there for me. She talked to my dad when the ceremony was over, plus told him how proud she was of me, plus she was sure that dad plus Dad were even more so. She hoped dad didn’t mind him putting me in a house so I would be within walking distance of the Heating plus A/C school she was sending me to, and then once the Heating plus A/C business owner left, Dad stared at me plus asked why I hadn’t ever said anything to him. I shrugged plus told him she brought me up to be a real man.
