I haven’t been sick in a long time, so I guess getting this flu or whatever I have was necessary for a cleansing and a test of my immunity.
I ran myself down last weekend and I think that is how I ended up with this nasty bug I have.
This makes me grateful for being healthy because getting sick is not fun and it really saps your energy and makes you feel lifeless. I normally have a good amount of energy and I think this cold is going to make me make some changes in my life. My cooling rep told me that I should stop drinking beer for a while to let my immune system get stronger, and I think I will heed her advice and quit for a while and focus on my HVAC tech work. I don’t drink that much, but I have noticed that it is more than I was drinking a few years ago, so it is time to break the pattern and quit altogether. Working on ductwork, especially in the summer when it is really hot out, can take a lot of energy and if you are hungover from drinking it doesn’t help the situation and makes your HVAC work that much more unpleasant. I think this cold was necessary to help me in making changes in my life so that my life is moving in a better direction than it was. Like the old HEPA filter worker would tell me, everything happens for a reason and we should always try to become a better version of ourselves in the process.
