Something I did not expect that much when moving in the city, is how easily terrible the air quality is! Yes, I know there is a lot of pollution, I was well aware of the fact; But knowing about it and absolutely experiencing it are two odd things.
- I figured that as long as I stay in my apartment, I would be ok.
I didn’t feel about the fact that that stuff can leak into your house as well. After moving to the city, I observed I was sneezing and coughing a lot more. I even fell ill more often too. At first, I didn’t feel too much of it. It wasn’t until I was talking to a friend that they asked me when these symptoms appeared, and after that I realized it was around the time I moved to the city, but my friend told me I should request getting a portable air cleaning system, however the more I thought about it, the more that sounded like a good idea. I agreed, and afterwards I went to a heating and cooling store. Thankfully, they still had one portable media air cleaner left, and I was blessed enough to be the last one to grab it. I asked a few questions to the cooling tech, and after that I went house to set it up. Setting the current air cleaning equipment was absolutely pretty self-explanatory, and I let it run for a few hours. I didn’t notice an immediate difference, it wasn’t until about a day later, that I observed my symptoms ceased. I was impressed, and also quite happy, and now I can live in the city, however not worry about the effect the pollution and bad indoor air quality will have on my health.
