HVAC Information For Homeowners

I have been really over finally working the living heck out of my central air cooler as of lately… The heat has been super overheated out, but it reached one hundred and numerous degrees today. I am also going to have to call my local heating and air cooler supplier to have them send out a certified heat and air cooler specialist to do another heating, ventilation, and A/C tune up and check up on my heating and cooling unit. I just had one done for the season, but with as much as I have been using this lately I am sad that it is going to chop down and the motor will die, and but if I have another heating and cooling idea tune up and check up all will be relaxing and I will surely think if there is any underlying issue that may cause this to happen because of all I have been doing lately with using the central air cooler idea twenty multiple fifths per afternoon and several days per week! This heat is not going to get any better, as a matter of fact it is just going to get worse. I also live in AZ and I sincerely dislike this locale with all my soul! But I am stuck for the moment as I am in a rental lease that I have to run out, and when it is up I will be leaving this locale once and for all so I never have to deal with this kind of heat ever again and will not have to crank my central heating and air cooler idea on the a/c setting all the damn time!

I had big plans for my new house, especially in the basement.

I felt like I’d hit the gold mine when I landed this house because it had something that was super luxurious to me.

Not only was there a basement, but it was finished. The finished basement was in great condition and there was so much space for me to work with. However, there was one thing that I wanted to change. The ceiling was the generic, rectangle tiles that were a cork material. Although they were in good condition like everything else, I didn’t like how low they were. I really wanted to remove the ceiling tiles entirely and add drywall to lift the ceiling. I hired a contractor to give me a free estimate and it was within the price range that I was hoping for. He gave me two options though. Since there was HVAC ductwork on one side, I could lift the ceiling like I wanted, but there would be a drywall box surrounding the ductwork. This was fairly normal for some households and it was the most affordable option. My second option was to move the HVAC ductwork to keep the ceiling completely flush. This was the most expensive option because it required an HVAC technician to come in and move the existing ductwork. Ultimately, I ended up selecting the first option because a drywall box around the ductwork didn’t bother me. It wouldn’t be in the way and I was happy that the ceiling would at least be lifted.

I’ve always said that if I could build a house, I would be extra meticulous about the details.

In every house I’ve ever lived in, it seems like someone didn’t think about the details that went into it.

For example, in my kitchen there are only two outlets along the counter. It’s a detail I overlooked when I purchased the house and it’s been a big problem ever since. Another issue I have is the air vent placement. There is one air vent in the living room and it’s in the one good spot to put a piece of furniture. When moving in, I had to make a tough decision about the layout of the main living space. Did I want to put my couch in a really obstructive position that was off center from the TV? Or did I want to cover the one and only air vent that would keep my living room at a comfortable temperature? At first, I tried to live with the odd furniture positions, but it was really bothering me and becoming inconvenient. This is when I started searching for a solution. After some extensive research, I discovered a plastic air vent cover that moved the air to a different part of the room. It was exactly what I was looking for because it would move the HVAC treated air out from under the couch if it was being covered. Whenever the air would pump through the air vents, instead of going up and being wasted under the couch, the air vent cover would move the air out from under the couch. It was exactly what I needed! Although it’s a good solution, I’m still determined to build my own house without these inconveniences.

When my mom moved in with us, it was because she couldn’t manage her own house anymore and she didn’t want to join a community. My spouse and I anticipated this would happen one day, which is why we purchased the house we were in. There was a large, unfinished basement with a walk out door. Of course, we never did anything with the basement when we moved in and we let it sit unfinished for several years. When my mom started hinting at moving in, we began the renovation process. We added a main living area, small kitchen, and an accessible bathroom and walkway. The living area, kitchen, and walkway were easy, but the bathroom proved to be more challenging. We needed the space to be large with a shower that didn’t have any walkway hindrances. My mom was also always cold, so we wanted to make her new bathroom feel extra warm and cozy. We did two things to add extra heat. First, we added radiant heated flooring throughout the bathroom. With a flick of a switch, the floors would heat up and create extra warmth in the space, but especially under the feet. We also added a heated toilet seat. It sounded extra fancy when we were picking it out, but basements were naturally cold and we didn’t want my mom to feel uncomfortable in the slightest. A heated toilet seat was an added luxury that would keep my mom feeling warm and comfortable, even while in the bathroom.
