I decided to take the plunge and give a try to owning a smart thermostat.

I had been hearing all kinds of good things about smart thermostats over the last year or so and I finally went and got one.

Well I have to say that I really do not like this smart thermostat at all! Maybe it is because I am older, but I just do not understand the app to control it on the home computer and I certainly can not figure out the cell phone thing either. It seems very hard to operate it this way and I find myself using the smart thermostat the same as a digital thermostat, which totally defeated the whole reasoning behind getting the smart thermostat in the first place. I am going to end up returning this smart thermostat and just buying a standard digital thermostat like I had before it broke on me. Being older like I am, the simple stuff is the way I like it. All this technical babble and stuff is just too much for me. I realize it could be beneficial if I would just take the time to learn this modern heating and air conditioning technology. However to be perfectly honest, I do not have the patients nor the time to do so. Getting back to the basics is the best thing for me to do and just go on with what I have always done to operate a central heating and air conditioning system unit. And that is using a dial thermostat or a standard old school dial thermostat.

I have been shopping around to try to find a brand new central heating and air conditioning system.

But I want to find one that is on sale instead of paying full price.

The cost of new central heating and air conditioning systems today have gone so high it is almost like back in the day when central heating and cooling first became commercial and available to residential homes. More or less, only the well-to do or rich could afford them. And today it is a half step away from being back to those days all over again. The only way an average joe like myself can even afford to get a brand new and up to date central heating and air conditioning system is if the central heating and cooling unit is on sale for half off or if the HVAC dealership or heating and cooling company you buy from has what’s called an HVAC payment plan. HVAC payment plans allow you to be able to pay in monthly installments over a set number of years. Kind of like buying a home in a way. So I am waiting to either find a central heating and air conditioning system for half off the regular price, or to find a heating and cooling company or HVAC dealership that has one of those heating and air conditioning payment plans that I can get set up on. I do not need the heating and air conditioning system right now, but will need it in the next year as my old HVAC unit is going to be 18 years old.

You may not believe me, but I have never had a serious heating and air conditioning system break down in my entire life to date! At least my own life. I do not count growing up while living with my parents. As an adult and owning my own central heating and air conditioning system I have never had any major breakdowns! There was only one time where the fan of my central heating and air conditioning system was on its way out, but I caught it in time and got a new one put in right away. The reason for this never having any heat and a/c breakdowns in because I always am up to date on all my HVAC maintenance. I always get my central heating and air conditioning system tuned up and checked up regularly, I get my ductwork cleaned every 6 months and most of all, I always change the air filter on time within my central heat and a/c unit. By doing these things you too can have little to no heating and air conditioning system breakdowns in your life. Not only is that less of a headache for you, but it will also save you hundreds of dollars in the long run from not having to pay for tons of HVAC labor on repairs and HVAC home services visits from your local heating and cooling company. If you just keep up with your central heating and air conditioning system you will find that having a central HVAC unit is easier than you could ever imagine!

I may be in the minority, but I am one who likes the old school ways of heating and cooling my home.

I have a gas furnace which takes care of all my heating needs in the winter months of the year, and then in the summer I have a huge window air conditioning unit to take care of my downstairs area, and in the bedrooms I have regular small window air conditioning units. These all do me just fine. Also by going old school like this it makes it so that maintaining things with the heating and cooling are a lot easier and cheaper than having to go through all the headaches that come with having central heating and air conditioning systems. I do not have to ever really think about heat and a/c tune ups and check ups. The only air filter I really ever have to change regularly is in the furnace, and even that is a lot less frequent than you have to do with central heating and air conditioning systems. And the biggest perk of going old school with my heating and air conditioning is the fact that my monthly electric bills do not skyrocket and make me go nearly broke like many others I know. When you have a gas furnace and window air conditioning system units, it makes it so that not as much energy is used to keep your home warm or cool. While with a central heating and cooling system this can really hike your electric bills to sometimes five hundred dollars a month if it’s during a cold front or major heatwave. I am totally happy!

One odd thing I have noticed these days is that the whole concept of heating and air conditioning is more popular and talked about today than it ever has been in days gone by. It seems everyone is always talking about making sure you have a powerful and up to date central heating and air conditioning system everywhere you turn. And why is this? I really don’t know. I have thought about it though and came up with a theory. Maybe it is because the weather and temperatures all over the planet are so crazy today because of the global warming and climate change that it is making people pay more attention to being protected by heating and air conditioning. That is really the only sense I can make out of all of this. Sometimes it annoys me when I hear people talking more about heating and air conditioning than they do about fun things in life like TV shows, movies and music how it was when I was growing up. Heating and air conditioning can get quite boring to tell you the truth. I mean I have a brand new and up to date central heating and air conditioning system in my home, and I am happy I have it, but I do not feel the need to have to talk about it with people. I just don’t get it really. But if people want to talk about nothing but heating and air conditioning more power to them. I just do not want to be around the said people because they would annoy me with all the non stop heating and air conditioning talk.

Being an independent heating and air conditioning worker is very life consuming.

• Yes, you read that right.

Not time consuming, but life consuming! You have so much to do other than just the work. You are running your own business, doing your own books and paying yourself. All while trying to make the schedule of all your heat and a/c work come together. I have been an independent heating and air conditioning specialist for about a year and a half now and I am so glad that I do not have a family! I am a single guy who lives heating and cooling almost every waking hour because of the facts I just described. However, all that will be able to change soon since my business is doing well thanks to the dedication. And what does that have to do with anything? Well it means that I am making a very nice profit on top of the money I need to live, which means I will be able to start really building this one man operation into a small business by hiring other HVAC workers to help and become part of my company in the making here. Once that happens and there are other heating and air conditioning specialists working for me, I will be able to take it easy a bit and just work on the business end of things for a while and only go out on minimal heat and a/c repair and installation jobs. Eventually it will allow me to even take days off. Which will be very nice after as hard as I have been working!

I have to tell you that I got real lucky when I bought my home. There are enough costs that come with that and you have already spent thousands of dollars on the downpayment and possibly the move as well if you were moving out of state like I did. The next thing you usually have to dump thousands into is a brand new, up to date and very expensive central heating and air conditioning system unit. Well, I did not have to do this because the house that I bought actually came with both a brand new and up to date central heating and air conditioning system, plus as a bonus, it also had the most brand new and up to date smart thermostat to go with it! Who could ask for anything more? The previous owners of the house had purchased these things within the last year to increase the value of the home, which it did. But it was also a great deal because it still worked out thousands of dollars cheaper than having to buy a brand new and up to date central heating and air conditioning system myself and pay for the HVAC installation from whoever the local heating and cooling company is. Which being new here, I do not even know that much yet. I do not know who the heating and air conditioning company is, and I do not know if there are any independent heat and a/c specialists in the area for hire. I have a lot of research to do on that yet!

This means that the condenser of the HVAC unit is starting to go bad and that you should make a phone call to your local heating and cooling company right away to have them send out a certified heat and a/c specialist to replace the condenser before it totally blows out.

If you have ever had problems with your central heating and air conditioning system taking forever to shut off when you turn off the thermostat, this could be a major issue brewing within your central heating and cooling system. This is unless you have a smart thermostat. In that case it is common that it takes forever to shut down your heating or air conditioning, which is why I hate smart thermostats. But that is another story all together. What I am talking about now is if your central heat and a/c unit takes forever to shut down and you have a regular thermostat. This means that the condenser of the HVAC unit is starting to go bad and that you should make a phone call to your local heating and cooling company right away to have them send out a certified heat and a/c specialist to replace the condenser before it totally blows out. Because if it does that, you will have a broken down heating and air conditioning unit and this could cause you some real hassle and more money to repair. Especially if you either have to call for double priced emergency heating and cooling home services or if you have to go and stay somewhere for the night like a hotel or motel. Avoid these things by just calling the heating and air conditioning company and getting it taken care of before things get out of hand and save yourself a few hundred bucks in the long run. I just learned this fact today at HVAC school.

No one was willing to work the overtime initially, so this was when they got desperate and offered a triple pay scale to work the weekend

I am not one who will ever work overtime at a job. Unless of course there is a good cash incentive to do so other than the usual overtime legal pay laws. This past weekend I ended up working all weekend at my job because I was offered triple pay! For that kind of money, I will work 24/7 until I drop! Oh and I forgot to mention, I am a certified heating and air conditioning specialist who works for the local heating and cooling company. They had a very large overflow of work and usually they are not even open on the weekends other than for emergency HVAC home services, but this weekend was different. There were a lot of heating and air conditioning system installations that came out of nowhere that needed to be done on a weekend and they needed the extra help. No one was willing to work the overtime initially, so this was when they got desperate and offered a triple pay scale to work the weekend. That got me and almost every single other heating and cooling worker at the local heating and air conditioning company on board and there to work the overtime. I must say it was very tiring working both Saturday and Sunday having no weekend. However, it was well worth the headache because by getting triple pay it was like working a whole additional week on the paycheck! That money came in handy in saving towards the family vacation this coming summer.

I was totally happy when I was able to get a brand new and up to date central heating and air conditioning system for half off the regular price! I just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

I decided one weekend to go shopping for a brand new central heating and air conditioning system because my old central heating and air conditioning system was getting old. And much to my super surprise I found that the heat and a/c dealership that I went to was having a major clearance sale on one of the best heating and air conditioning system brands out there. I right away checked the SEER rating and found that the heat and a/c unit was indeed one of the very best they had on the heating and cooling market today. So I purchased it at half off the regular price! That was a ton of savings. And what was even more a bonus was the fact that the heating and air conditioning dealership was offering free installation on any heat and a/c system that was on sale that week. So I ended up getting double lucky on buying a brand new and up to date central heating and air conditioning system unit. You do not find deals like this every single day in your life on heat and a/c systems. You just like I said have to be at the right place and at the right time. And it just happened that right place and right time was on that very day!
Smart HVAC

I tried something out and it really worked.

I ended up buying 3 portable air purification systems for my home in an attempt to clean up the bad air quality that was getting in from outside.

I put one in each room and well, it actually worked! My home was feeling great in terms of the air quality, even though it was really bad air quality outside. The 3 portable air purification systems in each room was like having a light whole home air purification system or something like that. I was able to breathe a little better all together. I was not sure if this was going to work or not because portable air purification systems are only known to work in pretty small rooms. And I have rather large rooms in my home. So I guess these portable air purification systems are much better than I could have ever imagined. I underestimate them. It probably has to do with the ever growing wave of technology today as to why these portable air purification systems are working so well. Even my portable air conditioning system and my portable space heater do not even work as well as these portable air purification systems have been working for me in the rooms in my house that I put them in. I highly recommend the portable air purification system to anyone who is looking to improve the indoor air quality in their home. They really work wonders for everything. No question in the whole world about it. I would buy more if needed.
