I’m still not sure on just how exactly I forgot the AC tune this Springtime. But it sure did and now, I’m paying the price for that lapse in mental acuity. Normally, I’m on top of the AC tune up done like in May. Where I live, the AC is quiet all Winter. There’s virtually no use for heating down here. Sure, there is the once a winter season thing where I might have to bring in the plants. But even that’s not guaranteed. And when that occurs, I don’t even bother with the control equipment as I opt for the space furnace instead. Springtime comes early as the pollen is covering the cars by Valentine’s Day. For certain, the main cooling complication of my entire year is the Summer heat and humidity. So how in the world did I forget his year for it to be Summer already. I am now smack in the middle of May and the humidity is already at Summer levels. Gladly, the temperature hasn’t fully kicked in yet, however still, I am in the AC portion of my annual program around here. Springtime is enjoyed with the doors and windows open so I all get more used to the heat. That way, I need less AC in the Summer and I keep the cooling demand low. But that doesn’t matter if the AC doesn’t work. I flipped the control equipment over to cooling and left it early this week. It took a day before the thing just stopped laboring. Now, I have to pay for an Heating & A/C repair that never would have been necessary had I gotten the AC tune up.

To be clear, I adore my partner and daughters. They are the center of my life and the greatest motivator for me to spend all the hours I do inside the commercial Heating & A/C of the company. I’m enriched every single day by all of those girls and couldn’t be more grateful to be a partner, partner and father to my girls. But dang, those girls can get noisy and stay loud. When my daughters were young, I’d walk into the central AC of my home and they’d all come running. I was their king and it never felt better to be the king. I loved the feeling of being their daddy. I’m still their daddy, however they’d much rather me not be around so much because I embarrass them in front of their pals. I’m not clear on what behavior other than just existing that is so embarrassing. Seriously, I’m not a loud person so it’s not like I’m trying to be cool. Still, I recall what it was like to have parents around when you have friends over to hang out in the AC. So I have been looking for a place to call my own. The basement was basically the only space. But it was basically an indoor dump. The space was just full of junk that one or all of my girls weren’t willing to toss. So I did that for them and then called the Heating & A/C corporation. They put in a ductless heat pump so I have air conditioning for the Summer.

I know because I’ve seen this firsthand with both my health and wellness along with a small HVAC unit upgrade. As for my health, it was about all the tiny changes. Every other time that I wanted to start exercising, I went at it as though all it was going to take was a month to get the right results. That little detail has made such a dramatic effect on the indoor air quality of the house. Minor details and daily decisions do make a difference.
I have to lower my air conditioning costs
So here I am. After contemplating it repeatedly, the time for execution of my a/c strategy is upon me. Well, I did the first few steps this Springtime so getting started isn’t the right statement. I am now to the point where the Summer heat and humidity are for real and the toughest part of the plan begins. The Springtime stuff was a breeze when it came to adopting a modern approach to cooling my house. I started the modern cooling plan with a tune up for the AC. This way, I’ll be operating at top efficiency. And this Springtime, I decided to leave the cooling off as much as possible so I could get used to the rising hot temperatures over time. Simply put, I just had to save money on the cooling in my condo. Perhaps I am the outlier, however the couple of years of inflation have hammered my budget. I am not the sort of person who simply lives paycheck to paycheck, but each month, there is a certain number that goes into savings or investments. But with inflation and no rise in pay, I had to address some cost splitting. Of course, one of the higher fixed costs for my condo is the costs of cooling. I have a history of just doing whatever I want with the control equipment setting all Summer. Well, not this year and that’s going to be the toughest part of the year. Yet, I can supply on disciplined control equipment control. I’m convinced of it. My target is to shave 23 percent off the utility cost that comes with cooling my condo from mid May through mid September.

I purchased the wrong HVAC system for the air volume in my beach house
Too often, I’m assured that knowing just a bit of info or the basics of something gives me extensive insight.
That’s definitely not how it goes. This is not the sort of behavior I exhibit while working inside the zone controlled Heating & A/C of the office day in and day out. I perform massive due diligence on just about every decision, recommendation or investment that has to do with the business. So why would I believe meeting with an Heating & A/C expert once would make me think I knew something about the Heating & A/C unit. Again, this is a case of me being ridiculously full of myself with no reason to be that way. I recently had to upgrade the Heating & A/C units in my house. So of course, I met with the Heating & A/C expert to talk about my next residential Heating & A/C. It’s not as though I have odd or unrespected heating and cooling demands. That’s not the case at all. Still, it was nice to speak with a Heating & A/C expert who asked certain questions about what I wanted in terms of quality heating and air. But I also had an ulterior motive to all of this. I was trying to glean information so I could find the Heating & A/C unit online for a massively discounted rate. And then just have the Heating & A/C expert install it. And this is just the approach I took. It took me nearly a month to find the deal I wanted, however when I did, I snapped it up and had it shipped to my house. The thing is though, I just obtained a Heating & A/C unit that won’t fit the air volume in my house. How’s that for being too smart?
I work in the central air of my home
I can remember how my grandpa always had stuff inside the breast pocket of his shirt.
He always, always, always wore a shirt that had some sort of pocket on it.
And in that small pocket there were so many things. Definitely a toothpick and his to do list. Sometimes, maybe even a piece of gum or a mint for me. These days, I’m now echoing grandpa’s to-do list and my residential Heating & A/C chores are on the list. Okay, so I don’t wear any sort of shirt that has a breast pocket much. I work from home so I wear golf shirts and shorts inside the central cooling of my home. The tidy golf shirts are nice enough if I have to be in an online meeting. And nobody can see my shorts. In the Summer, this is required attire because it gets so dang tepid down here. For sure, I didn’t move here because of the heat. But if I have to endure the heat of a Summer for many months, that’s a deal I’ll continue to make. Yet, I have to get better at being consistent with my Heating & A/C chores. And that’s why I have implemented the grandpa to-do list in my life. My to-do list is on my iphone though. And it’s a talking list because I have alarms that let me know when it’s time for me to do a certain thing. Every now and then, I hear it talk to me to remind me that I have to change the air filter. Now I just need to change the alarm sound to my grandpa’s voice and I’ll be all set.
Moving into a house with a heat pump
Not that many of years ago, my hubby and I retired from our tasks and headed south.
We’d lived our entire lives in the northeast.
My friend and I were tired of the harshly long and freezing winters. We’d had enough of blizzard conditions, freezing rain, feet of snow accumulation and dangerous wind chills. Our goal was to move far enough south that we’d never need snow boots, wool coats, ice scrapers or snow shovels again. My friend and I didn’t want to travel so far south that we’d have year-round complications with heat and humidity.
