It is really the end of an era here in my local area.
The heating and air conditioning company that has been here since even before I was born is closing down.
This heating and air conditioning company has been around for the last 50 years! Back in the days when central heating and air conditioning was a new and rare thing only to commercial buildings and businesses. They used to service furnaces and window air conditioning units in the ancient days of heating and air conditioning, and then went on with the times as things progressed in heating and air conditioning technology. They are possibly the longest surviving heat and a/c company in a local area. They decided to finally close their doors as the owners are too old to run it now and the kids had no interest in taking over the heating and cooling business. Sure, there are other options to be able to have heating and air conditioning home services in the area including many independent heating and air conditioning contractors. However, it will still never be the same as it was all these years. They became just a standard part of the area and community and it was just a “matter of fact” kind of thing knowing they were there and chances are, you’d be calling them every single time you wanted to buy a brand new and up to date central heating and air conditioning system. Times change and things move on. And this is just another example of that.
