I’ve been trying to lower my utility bill for over a year now.

Next to my mortgage payment, my utility bill is my second highest monthly expense.

I can control my heat and air usage, so I’ve been trying to run my HVAC system more efficiently. I started by hiring an HVAC professional twice per year to service my HVAC system before the change of seasons. I know it seems counterintuitive to pay someone to come service the HVAC system, but it has saved me a lot of time and money. I was always paying for some kind of repair to my HVAC system throughout the year, but the biannual HVAC servicing has proven to be cheaper. I’ve also been replacing my air filter an extra two times per year. The HVAC professional will switch out my dirty air filter for a clean one whenever he comes to service the HVAC system, and then I switch it out two more times throughout the year. A clean air filter allows the air to flow freely into my home and I don’t have to worry about my blower working harder to heat or cool. The next thing I do is adjust my thermostat by a few degrees before leaving the house. There’s no point in making my furnace or air conditioner run while I’m not there. The HVAC system will still run while I’m away to some degree, but it’s not nearly as much. Lastly, I started keeping my outside unit clean. I trim all the bushes around it and I wash the dirt off the coils. A clean outside unit makes everything run more efficiently. All of this HVAC maintenance has dropped my utility bills by at least 30%.

One of my best friends is a single mom with two teenage boys. I adore her two boys and I consider them family because I’ve grown up watching them. They are really great kids, but they’re teenagers which means they’re going through a lot of changes. All these changes bring a lot of emotions to their household. My best friend is always telling me about the various challenges she’s facing. Most recently, she explained how frustrated she was with her boys changing the thermostat settings. She’s told them countless times that they aren’t allowed to alter the temperature because it affects the utility bill, but they don’t fully understand. One of her boys is always complaining that it’s too hot and the other is always complaining that it’s too cold. This makes it really hard to set the thermostat because it’s always a losing situation for her. My best friend was thrilled when she opened the gift and she installed it right away! She claims that the thermostat lock box has changed her life dramatically.

Something I love about the school I teach at is how I have control over the thermostat in my classroom.

I know a lot of teachers who work at other schools and their number one complaint is about the thermostat settings.

Their rooms are either too hot or too cold. Most schools don’t allow their teacher’s to control the temperature of their classrooms for efficiency and consistency reasons. From what I’ve heard from some of the older teachers, our school wasn’t always like this. The principal used to control the heat and air settings for the entire building. One year though, the teachers fought for their right to have control over the temperature settings in their room. If they were going to spend all day teaching in one room, they wanted the right to set the thermostat however they pleased. The principal agreed, but there were a few limitations. Teachers were granted access to their thermostat, but they could only set the temperature between 65 degrees and 75 degrees. This would keep things running efficiently. The clear lock boxes were also required to remain locked at all times in order to prevent students from altering the thermostat. Each teacher was given a key to the thermostat lock box and they were responsible for it. If a teacher couldn’t follow these guidelines, then the key would be taken from them and the principal would set it himself. I’m so thankful those teachers fought for our thermostat freedom today. I prefer to work in a room that’s not too hot or too cold.

I have a high end portable air purification system that I bought.

The air filter is now needing to be changed after about 4 months.

I know exactly what kind of air filter to get, but when I looked it up and went to buy it online I found that it was almost 30 bucks! What? 30 bucks for an air filter for a portable air purification system? That is highway robbery if you ask me! However, taking into consideration that it is a HEPA brand air filter, that may be the reason why. And HEPA air filters are of the utmost high quality when it comes to air filters for portable air purification systems, central heating and air conditioning system units as well as even vacuum cleaners! So I guess I will just go ahead and pay the high price for the HEPA brand air filter for the portable air purification system. It is the only air filter that will fit into it and replace the old one. So I am kinda stuck with having no choice. I mean the high end portable air purification system that I bought is very high end and works really great, and most of that is because of the HEPA brand air filter that comes in the portable air purification system. And if I have to dump this money down every 5 months or so, it doesn’t bother me I guess. It will be worth it to keep the indoor air quality going good in my bedroom while I am trying to sleep.

I really am having a rough time with the bad air quality that my local area has been hit with lately. I find myself not able to sleep because I am always waking up coughing and my nose runs. It is like having a real bad flu without actually being sick! It is really horrible and ridiculous. This is why I know I must get some kind of an air purifier for my bedroom. Most likely I will pick up a pretty nice and higher end portable air purification system and see how that actually does in terms of cleaning up the bad air quality in my home. And if buying a portable air purification system does not do the trick, well then I guess I am going to have to just go head and get a loan from my bank in order to buy one of those massive whole home air purification systems that go as part of your central heating and air conditioning system unit. I know for sure that a portable air purification system would most likely not do the trick but I am going to try that first anyhow. And if it does not work I am going to return it. Then I will make the investment into the whole home air purification system and fix all of this bad air quality once and for all in my home. It really would be the only way to get relief and get my indoor comfort back that I have been missing for a while now ever since the bad air quality we have been getting has started.

This time of the year where I live is not good by any means.

I am talking about really bad heat which requires twenty four hours a day and seven days of week of the central heating and air conditioning system unit’s cooling along with there being bad air quality all around outside! It is the bad air quality that makes all of this way worse than it is.

This is the main reason I invested thousands of dollars into a whole home air purification system which runs along side my central heating and air conditioning system. And believe me it really helps! There is nothing like having that whole home air purification system clean out the bad indoor air quality that my home gets from the bad air quality outside. It was well worth all of the money I dumped into it. It is something where if I did not have the whole home air purification system I would not be sure how I would honestly survive because I have bad allergies and when there is air quality this bad it makes it so that I cough and choke all the time and I can not get any sleep! The air quality is so bad that even a real high end portable air purification system would not even do the job. Believe me I know, because I tried. So this was when I decided to break down and make the investment into a whole home air purification system for my home which runs with my central heating and air conditioning system. Whole home air purification systems are the answer to awful air quality!

When you have a day with great air quality, the best thing you can do is take a nice long walk in it. That is what I do when we have the most amazing air quality days here in the south where I live. It is very rare that here in the south you get amazing air quality, but it does happen from time to time. And when it does, you can bet I am out and about doing errands as well as taking long walks just to take in and enjoy the rare amazing air quality here in the south. Sometimes the air quality can be so good that I want to turn off my central heating and air conditioning system, open up the windows and let that great and amazing air quality flow right into my home. It helps reduce the use of my whole home air purification system that I have to run a lot out here in the southern part of the country in which I live in. There is nothing in the world like great air quality. And that great air quality is something that i always thrive for and look forward to on the rare chance that it happens here in the southern part of the country where I live. Because air quality that is amazing as well as great improves your general quality of life too. Everything really comes down to air quality when it comes to health and more. It is finally coming up on the time of retirement for me.

I have been working in the heating and air conditioning business for over 50 years.

For the last 20 years I have been working for the same heating and air conditioning company as one of their most certified heating and air conditioning specialists. It has been great. Previously before this I was an independent heating and air conditioning contractor. When that finally gave out and I could get no more business, or at least enough to make a living due to competition of young and upcoming independent heating and air conditioning specialists I ended up going to this local heating and air conditioning company to work for them. They were a lifesaver and made it so I could make it to retirement and collect the well deserved pension plan that I had worked so hard for all of these years. My last day is this coming Monday and although I may miss the wonderful people that I work with, I have to say that I am highly looking forward to no longer working at all! I have honestly had enough of heating and air conditioning repair as well as heating and air conditioning installation over all these years. It is time to relax and spend whatever life I have left doing what I want to do and when I want to do it! Retirement is a blessing and I am very much looking forward to it becoming a reality.

My family is coming over this weekend and I have a lot of things to prepare for before they come and stay at my house.

I live in the northeast and my family is from the west.

They don’t get to experience a lot of winter and snowfall in the part of the west that they live in. So it will be very exciting for them to come and see all of the snow that we have gotten so far. Because of all the snow, I have been running my heater all day for the past few weeks. When my heater is running I also like to have my heating and cooling unit’s fan on. The fan is turned on to the auto setting on the thermostat and it kicks on whenever it needs to. However today it seems like it will not shut off. I have tried everything, I’ve even tried turning the fan setting to off on the thermostat. And nothing seems to work. I decided to call my heating and cooling technician because I knew that something had to be broken. When my heating and cooling technician came to diagnose the problem it turned out that the thermostat cable shorted. This was a problem that I could not fix on my own and a professional heating and cooling repair man had to fix. After he replaced the thermostat cable I was finally able to enjoy the fan that’s installed on my heating and cooling system. Now I’m able to turn it off when I don’t need to use it.
