Most of all, I was tired of paying my high energy bills as I operated the central HVAC system day in and day out in a mostly empty house.

I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling rather tired of this back and forth between the media and the government during this ongoing viral pandemic. It was pretty clear a few months ago that we had managed to lower the curve when it came to our country’s COVID-19 contaminations. At the time, I was feeling a little optimistic about all of our sheltering in place efforts, but I also know that letting people go back into the wild was going to increase the number of cases around the country. Lo and behold, that’s exactly what happened. Now, I feel like I’m being jerked around as I try to figure out what normal life is. Recently, my company tried to call us back into the office because they believe that we were “all-clear.” At that point, I was actually a little excited to get out of my highly air conditioned home. I felt like I couldn’t stand another day of hanging out with my air conditioning unit and listening to the air quality control device turn on and off in the background of my silent house. I was tired of feeling ice cold, dry air conditioned air blowing on my body all day long. Most of all, I was tired of paying my high energy bills as I operated the central HVAC system day in and day out in a mostly empty house. I actually thought it was going to be great to rely on my office’s thermostat and get a break on my own energy bills. Unfortunately, our return to the office only lasted one week. As COVID cases climbed again, we were ushered back into our own homes. I’m hanging out with my air conditioning unit every day, trying desperately not to break the bank with these insane energy bills.

For the past several weeks I have been infuriated by the weathermen in our area.

I don’t know what’s going on, but it seems like every weather-predicting professional has been phoning it in lately.

I’m probably not your average person, but I happen to appreciate dark, stormy days a great deal. Time and time again, the weatherman was predicting that we would have intense day-long storms that just never showed up. I would prepare for a nice, dreary day only for the sun to be pounding down as bright as ever. That’s why, I was actually extremely excited when I was informed that a huge weather system was headed our direction and it would be raining for the foreseeable future. I thought that this was what I wanted… Until my central cooling system broke down. Here I was, happily hanging out inside and watching the storm blow by when I heard a massive sound from the backyard where my air conditioning unit sits. Out of nowhere, a huge branch had fallen on my central cooling system and completely destroyed the air handling equipment. I knew there was no way that my AC unit was going to start back up without a professional HVAC technician performing a whole host of repairs. Worst case scenario, I was going to need a brand new air conditioning system to manage my house of hot, humid air. I went back inside and began calling every HVAC technician in the area, only to be told that they couldn’t travel in this terrible storm. Now, I’m trapped inside with my windows open or any kind of circulation. The extremely muggy outdoor air feels terrible in the house. And I actually wish it would go back to being sunny.

You never know what’s going to catch people’s attention.

There are so many folks out there with diverse interests and unexpected hobbies that you would have never guessed.

I found this out for myself after starting an online community for video game players. I wanted to connect with other people who are extremely interested in my favorite PS4 games, so I began an online forum for everybody to interact. Well, our conversation remains centered around video games for a while… And then we began to create all-new threads for diverse issues. I have to say, the most unexpected shared interest that I’ve seen in the community has been the heating and cooling thread. It all started when somebody was using the general community thread to talk about indoor air quality problems that they were having. Apparently, they woke up that morning without any form of heating or cooling in the house. No matter what they tried to do with the thermostat, the indoor air handling devices were not responsive to their air quality orders. This community member wanted to know if we had any HVAC troubleshooting tips or could recommend a professional heating and cooling technician in the area. Before I knew it, the entire thread had been overtaken with indoor air handling tips, tricks, and maintenance service propositions. It got so overwhelmingly busy with everyone talking about HVAC systems that the server crashed. After that, I started a separate heating and cooling community for everybody to join. Now, we regularly compete over our high quality indoor air and low energy bills, not just kills on our favorite games.

For about four months now I have been running my own podcast.

I truthfully never thought that this would be something that would take off.

I actually thought that I was just going to make a few episodes before I got frustrated plus gave up on the whole venture. However, I’ve been seriously surprised at the reception of my deranged little radio show. Let me be clear that I have no idea what I’m doing plus I don’t have costly device for my podcast. Sometimes I suppose that people prefer the grassroots nature of my publication… Until people start complaining about my central heating plus cooling system, recently I was checking out the reviews plus I observed that there were quite a few which mentioned my indoor air handling devices. Apparently, because I’m recording the podcast in the comfort of my condo you can hear my air conditioner clicking on plus off in the background. Every time the cooling system kicks into gear there is a loud disruption on the recording. I enjoy making my radio show even though I am getting tired of people making fun of my indoor air handling devices without contributing new ones.

Our new world is entirely deimportant. Not only do my associate and I have this a viral pandemic completely destroying our country. However, my associate and I also have so much social injustice and financial worry to deal with at the same time. If you have not been paying attention, let me tell you that our global economic system is entirely doomed. Somehow, 1% of the population has almost all of the wealth while the rest of us toil away everyday unable to live comfortably. It’s typically been challenging to give enough food, clothing, and entertainment for a family. Recently, it has gotten so exhausting that my associate and I can’t even afford our indoor air handling devices to literally be comfortable in our own homes. If you’re anything like me, you tend to live paycheck-to-paycheck. This means your utility bills are a big concern every month. This is especially tploy when you have to use your indoor air handling devices to deal with the horrific global warming that my associate and I also contend with. Not only is the outdoor air temperature always getting more uncomfortable and unpredictable, however the cost of keeping a central heating and cooling system working is considerable. When you have a sizable central air conditioner unit and forced air boiler you spend every afternoon praying that it’s not going to split down. The last thing that I need right now is a professional heating and cooling repair cost on top of my high utility bills and routine repair charges. I wish that my associate and I had some kind of citizen revolution to instate fair wealth distribution in our world… But I would settle for affordable heating and cooling devices.

People constantly say that you need to cherish every moment you have with your children because in the blink of an eye they will be young adults. I constantly had a difficult time believing this when I was battling my adolescents through every moment of the day, and let me tell you, with those little turds in my property it felt like time was never going to pass. I entirely never thought that they would grow up too abruptly for I would find myself reminiscing about the good old days when they were knee-high little shits. That’s why I was surprised the other day when I suddenly found a toy of my son’s from her childhood plus broke down crying. I could remember the exact moment when she lost this stuffed animal as a five-year-old. Here I was, minding my own supplier plus cleaning out the central heating plus cooling system when suddenly her missing toy presented itself. I was doing my best to disinfect the central heating plus cooling ductwork in my condo because I had noticed a lot of uneven indoor air temperatures in the last week. It seems like my air temperature was fluctuating from tepid to freezing even when I was using the air conditioning component at full blast. I knew that my ductwork had been neglected for several years because I have been too occupied with parenthood over indoor air quality, but finally, I had the time plus energy to deal with my heating plus cooling system for the first time in 20 years. I undoubtedly cannot imagine being a kid these days. Everything is completely weird than it was when I was growing up. I am not just saying this as an old curmudgeon, so much as I am making even-handed observations about the state of the world plus new parenting. It seems like toddlers have their own cell PCs plus iPads to keep them entertained when their parents are too tired. I cannot imagine any of this. When I was growing up, my sisters plus I had to make our own entertainment, but sometimes it even included the indoor air handling devices because my associate and I were so bored. I remember several days when my associate and I used the central thermostat unit as a pretend rocket control system plus got yelled at by my Dad for changing all of the indoor air handling control settings. Sometimes it can be utterly shocking how people survive to reach an adult age when they clearly should have died off years ago.

I don’t want to sound freezing or overly severe, however it is incredible how stupid humans can be.

Somehow, they continue surviving despite it all. I happen to believe that this is usually their parents’ fault for teaching them so little earlier in life. You really are not doing your kids any favors when you don’t let them do their own laundry, make their own food, or learn about energy costs on their own. This was exactly what happened with my most recent tenant when she answered my Craigslist ad. I was uneasy for a younger person to transfer into my apartment, however I did not realize that she could be unaware of how energy bills work. For the first month that she lived in my rented apartment, I saw that the energy bill was climbing higher and higher each afternoon. I kept providing her replaces on the estimated energy bill as I saw it reaching astronomical levels. Clearly, she was using the central heating and cooling system to an severe degree and had no idea how much cash she was going to owe the energy dealer at the end of the month. I wanted her to understand how lavish it was to utilize a massive Heating plus Air Conditioning system before she drove herself into a hole. Sometimes people ask me about my most recent ex and I just have to shake my head.

People generally want to think that he was a fantastic guy. No matter what I say, their response is something along the lines of “he seemed so nice!” That’s when I tell them about all of the stunts but he pulled while I was trying to transfer out of his house. I was simply trying to gather my belongings and get out of his way so my buddy and I could transfer on, and he made sure that my blood would be tepid the entire time. Literally. I finally was given permission to get my stuff from his home in the middle of the burning warm southern summer. Where I live, the summer time is marked with absurd heat and humidity afternoon in and afternoon out. You have to operate a central cooling system if you want to be safe or comfortable in your own home. Of course, when I arrived at his home to start packing my things on a particularally warm and muggy afternoon, I found that he had disabled the temperature control so that I would be tortured with heat inside the house. He had locked the smart temperature control so I could not adjust the indoor air quality in any way. Without having a cooling system chugging away to pump ice freezing air into the house, it was at least 95 degrees in there. Thank God, one of my fantastic friends came over to help and knew a thing or two about temperature control wiring. He abruptly popped the temperature control off the wall and directly wired the a/c to the power source. For the next two days, my buddy and I continually ran the a/c at full blast. The whole time, I chuckled that my nasty ex had finally lost this energetic battle.

Just last monthwe were on the verge of adopting a current creature. My friend and I decided it was time to go ahead and get a current pet in our home because it was feeling rather empty and uneasy for the past several weeks. My friend and I did not want the kids to be in mourning forever, after my buddy and I had clearly lost our family pets, then you see, for several years my buddy and I have owned the single dog who loved going indoors and out. My friend and I never had a concern with letting her saunter around the town for the afternoon, so it was rather shocking on the afternoon that she did not return back home. Finally, last monthwe decided that it was time to adopt a current kitten so my buddy and I could all transfer on. That’s right about when my dog reappeared, clearly having emerged from the open air vent behind our dryer. At first, it seems like she materialized out of nowhere until I took a closer look and realized that the central heating and cooling system was to blame. Specifically, our extensive ductwork was the reason for our missing cat. She had popped out of the laundry room where my buddy and I rely on an overhead exhaust fan to remove the steaming air from our space. My friend and I congested up the ductwork that went to this room several years ago, because it was a waste of our lavish treated indoor air. I began investigating the walls and moved the dryer out of the way at some point. When I moved the clothing appliance out of the way, there was a gaping hole in the wall where our air vent cover should have been. I found chunks of hair stuff to the open ventilation hole and inside of the ductwork… Clearly, our wily dog had been escaping from the ice freezing central cooling system by hiding in the warm ductwork created by the dryer. Man, I’m so glad that my buddy and I didn’t get another cat.

Sometimes you try to help people and only make the situation worse.

This is absolutely the case when it comes to just about anything having to do with my Grandma.

She wants to live independently and be on her own, however she has also harshly needy and incapable of taking care of things by herself. The other afternoon, she was complaining so much about her indoor air quality that I decided it was a fantastic idea to call out a professional heating and cooling dealer to provide her a hand. Rather than having them install all current heating and cooling devices, I wanted them to connect up a smart temperature control to her existing a/c and forced air heater. I figured this was the best way to determine if she had an actual indoor air temperature control concern or if she was just mis-managing her temperature control settings. I installed the smart temperature control app on my iphone and began to monitor her indoor air quality control component usage. Well, this was a massive mistake. My Grandma refuses to learn how to use her smart temperature control that was promptly installed in her house. She says the newfangled component is just too confusing for her to even touch it. This means she has calling me afternoon in and afternoon out to adjust her indoor air temperature for her, based on her every whim. Whenever my buddy and I speak, she traps me in a conversation for at least 30 minutes about her brown neighbors and government conspiracies. I am growing tired with the constant racist iphone calls from my Grandma and I wish that I had never installed this central temperature control component at all.
