Working as a gymnastics trainer

For the past ten years, I’ve owned and operated a gym where I train gymnasts.

I work with athletes from two to twenty-years-old.

It is my job to not only teach and explain the proper body position to accomplish the various skills, but to provide physical assistance. I am there to guide and catch their bodies as they attempt the different maneuvers. I provide all sorts of drills to prepare their minds and muscles to achieve these difficult skills. I never allow the students to progress until they are fully ready and confident. However, for the sake of safety, I need to provide hands-on spotting. Many of my students are taller and heavier than I am. In order to properly perform my job, without allowing injury to the athletes or myself, I need to keep myself in peak physical condition. Above and beyond teaching the kids, I devote an hour every morning to my personal workouts. I focus heavily on stretching and flexibility. It’s important that I can react quickly and have optimum range of motion. My flexibility helps to avoid muscle strains and tears. I also concentrate on strength training. I lift weights and concentrate on push-ups, pull-ups, plank holds, lunges and squats so that I can successfully support the weight of my students. I also need endurance. Training sessions with the athletes can be long and exhausting. I jump a lot of rope and go for long runs so that I can keep up without getting exhausted or sore. I really love what I do and enjoy working with the kids and helping them build healthy habits and confidence.

Pushing my body too far

I am not good at accepting physical limitations.

I tend to push myself too far and overwork my body.

Whether I’m pulling weeds in the garden, cleaning the house or working out, I frequently end up totally exhausted, sore and even injured. Because I am conscientious about exercising every day, I know that my joints and muscles are durable. I make sure that I am especially flexible and have maximum range of motion. I run, bike, jump rope and perform sets of burpees and mountain climbers to increase stamina. I lift weights and complete sets of push-ups, lunges, squats and ab crunches to make sure I’m strong. I elevate my heart rate, work my lungs and generate a decent sweat every day. I keep myself very fit and healthy. I occasionally expect too much from myself and suffer the consequences. Last summer, I tackled a home renovation project. I tore out the walls and ceilings of the laundry room with plans of replacing the washer, dryer, plumbing pipes and light fixtures. I attempted to hang drywall on the ceiling by myself. I needed to use the top of my head and my left hand to hold the drywall in place while I operated the cordless drill with my right hand. The job was difficult and strenuous. I managed to tear my trapezius muscle. The upper left side of my back swelled up and was so extremely painful that I was unable to walk, comb my hair or even sit up. I was flat on my back for six weeks. Not being able to exercise, work or do anything was terrible. I am now trying to be more careful about my expectations of what my body can handle.

I like lifting weights

I especially enjoy lifting weights. My daily workouts include a mix of exercises to target all of the different muscles. I attempt to burn a lot of calories, increase flexibility, improve stamina and maintain a healthy weight. I hope to tone rather than build bulky muscles. I am a 56-year-old woman. I am just over five-feet tall. By exercising for an hour every day, eating right and taking very good care of myself, I keep my body fit and healthy. I need to limit the amount of weight I lift and how often I focus on strength training. I really like the burn in my muscles when I workout with heavy weights. It is way too easy for me to build large, masculine-looking muscles. Because of this, I never lift anything more than eight-pound hand weights. I stick with low weights and high repetitions. I often utilize resistance bands and my own body weight. I include lots of plank holds, push-ups and leg lifts in my training sessions. I only use hand weights or kettlebells three or four times per week. The majority of my workouts are focused on cardio training. I have a mini trampoline that’s great for elevating heart rate without a great deal of stress on the joints. I might ride the stationary bike or go for an actual bike ride outside. Running, jumping rope and swimming are great for getting my heart pumping. However, I always look forward to the days when I can lift. I work biceps, triceps and target the muscles in my shoulders, back and chest.

Workouts cause muscle cramps

I workout every day and devote the majority of the session to high intensity cardio exercise. I strive to elevate my heart rate, get my lungs working at maximum capacity and generate a good sweat. I hope to burn a great deal of calories, improve muscle tone and increase stamina. My workouts are typically quite hard on my legs. I tend to overwork my calf muscles. The joints of my knees, ankles and feet experience a lot of repetitive and hard impact. I like to go for six- to eight-mile runs. I jump rope nearly every day and sometimes for almost the entire hour of the workout. I also include lots of lunges, squats, jumping jacks, mountain climbers and burpees. I have been having some concerns with muscle cramps in my calves. While the muscles are slightly sore throughout the day, the problem mainly shows up at night. When I head to bed and attempt to sleep, my calves begin to cramp. The pain makes sleep impossible. I often need to get up and stretch my legs. I apply icy-hot, take ibuprofen and sometimes need to wrap my calves in heating pads. I’ve done some research and have read that the muscle cramps could be the result of insufficient hydration and/or overworking the muscles. I am now making an effort to drink more water and spending more time on my warm up, cool down and stretching. I am looking for cardio exercises that avoid impact on my joints, such as cycling, swimming and kayaking. Making these changes has helped but hasn’t eliminated the concerns with muscle cramps entirely.

Getting a new HVAC system for our home

My partner plus I were absolutely happy when all of us purchased our first home.

  • The people I was with and I were motivated to get started with finding all the homeowner solutions all of us needed.

The first thing all of us were looking to do was to update our heating plus A/C system. The heating plus A/C was about 10 years old so all of us knew that it would easily be coming to an end soon. The real estate agent made sure all of us saw the records for the usual maintenance provided on the heating plus A/C equipment, plus that was nice… But all of us still wanted an update. The people I was with and I ended up selling the old heating plus A/C plus all of us got a new installation through a local business. The expert who came to the lake house recommended that all of us go for a new boiler device since that’s what was already set up in the house, but he said the radiators were all in great shape so they would work fantastic with a new boiler unit. He explained the new boiler would be far more energy efficient also, so it was a fantastic thing all of us were going for this update, however for cooling, he said it would be fantastic to go for a ductless mini split air conditioner system. He said all of us could have several zones throughout the lake house with no need to have an HVAC duct installed. This sounded attractive, so all of us went for this installation as well, and after all of us diagnosed our heating plus A/C updates, all of us had the plumbing checked out plus all our electric wires checked! Some of the wiring was aged, so all of us had all the wiring updated so the lake house doesn’t end up catching on fire because of some serious electric complication.

Looking for options for HVAC upgrades

My loving husband as well as I were actually gleeful when we purchased our first home… All of us were motivated to get started with finding all the homeowner solutions we needed, and the first thing we were looking to do was to update our HVAC system. The HVAC was about 10 years outdated so we knew that it would truly be coming to an end soon. The real estate agent made sure we saw the records for the official maintenance given on the HVAC equipment, as well as that was nice, but we still wanted an update. All of us ended up selling the outdated HVAC as well as we got an up-to-date replacement through a local company. The expert who came to the condo proposed that we go for an up-to-date boiler component since that’s what was already set up in the house, however he said the radiators were all in fantastic shape so they would work superb with an up-to-date boiler unit. He explained the up-to-date boiler would be far more energy efficient also, so it was a fantastic thing we were going for this update! For cooling, he said it would be fantastic to go for a ductless mini split air conditioner system. He said we could have numerous zones throughout the condo with no need to have an air duct installed. This sounded lovely, so we went for this replacement as well. After we worked on our HVAC updates, we had the plumbing evaluated out as well as all our electric wires evaluated, some of the wiring was old, so we had all the wiring updated so the condo doesn’t end up catching on fire because of some electric complication.

We were motivated to find the homeowner solutions we needed

My wife and I were very excited when we bought our first home.

We were motivated to get started with finding all the homeowner solutions we needed. The first thing we were looking to do was to upgrade our HVAC system. The HVAC was about 10 years old so we knew that it would probably be coming to an end soon. The real estate agent made sure we saw the records for the regular maintenance provided on the HVAC equipment, and that was nice, but we still wanted an upgrade. We ended up selling the old HVAC and we got a new installation through a local contractor. The expert who came to the house advised that we go for a new boiler unit since that’s what was already set up in the house. electric furnace

They were really happy with the new space heater

When I went to the store the other day, I was looking for a space gas furnace for sale; The reason was because my Grandpa was coming to visit plus I knew how he enjoyed being nice plus toasty, and i wasn’t going to crank up the central heating idea for his sake only though.

I didn’t want to pay for upscale energy bills, I just wanted him to be cozy in the guest living room; then of course, he would be able to take the space gas furnace around with him wherever he was hanging out plus it would supply him with direct warmth.

I wanted something with good safety features like auto shutoff if the component is knocked over plus a component that would not really catch something on fire if it was too close. I ended up finding a few space heating systems that were on sale for a cheaper price. One easily had an auto shut off if the airflow was clogged for safety. That 1 was a little more extravagant as well. The other 1 that was on sale had a cool remote that made it easy to adjust the temperature control settings. I had to admit, it was a difficult option to decide whether to go for the better safety feature or the convenience of remote control. I knew that my Grandpa would prefer the remote so I ended up going for that. I knew he would be responsible about using the thing. He would make sure not to keep the portable gas furnace too close to anything flammable like a blanket. He was delighted when he finally arrived plus saw that I got him a portable gas furnace with a remote. He has been using it all the time as well!
